These terms apply to your use of VoiceOverGame at voiceovergame.net (the "site"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service

VoiceOverGame is a free voice over game that runs in your browser. You can record lines over scenes, get a score for each take, and export the result. The site is free to use and needs no account. Features may change, and the site may be paused or discontinued at any time.

Your videos and recordings

Videos you load and recordings you make are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. They remain yours. You are responsible for them, which means:

• Only load videos you have the right to use.
• Only share exported dubs when you have the right to share the underlying clip. Many film and TV clips are protected by copyright even when a dub is made for fun.
• You are responsible for any content you publish that was made with the site.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to:

• make content that impersonates a real person in order to deceive, defraud or harass anyone;
• create or share unlawful, defamatory or infringing material;
• interfere with the site, for example by overloading it or attempting to break its security.

Scenes on the site

Scenes offered on the site are short excerpts provided for playing the game. Each comes from a film that is in the public domain in the United States or released under a Creative Commons license, and its source and license are listed on the scene credits page. Public domain status can differ outside the United States.

Open source

The game is built on Dub Studio, open-source software released under the MIT License. That license and its copyright notice apply to the underlying code.

Other names

The Choicer Voicer and YeahMaybe are names belonging to their respective owners and are mentioned only to describe how this site differs. VoiceOverGame is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Scores are automatic estimates, not a professional assessment of your voice. We do not guarantee that the site will be available, error-free, or that saved takes and projects in your browser will never be lost; keep your own copies of anything you want to keep.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VoiceOverGame and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the site.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
